Moos Flash

Here it is the last day of June and time for the fireworks and seems like we just celebrated Easter!  I don't know where the time has gone, but we've been busy getting ready for the fall and winter holidays.  We also have a new activity coming up this fall;  Fall Bus Trick or Treat Express.

This is a new experience for us; and we hope you will join us.  We will be traveling to 11 quilt shops starting in St. Louis, going up the East side of Missouri, into Iowa, back into Illinois, over to Indianapolis, IN and then back into Illinois.   We'll be traveling a little over  1300 miles;  be gone 3 days and 2 nights. Cost will be $259/person double occupancy and $359 if you want a single room.  There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your seat.  The balance may be divided into 2 payments; the first due August 1st and the balance  due September 1st; or you may pay in full when you sign up.  Stay tuned for more information as we finish up the planning.

Sorry it's been a while since my last flash, but Cow Patty is still out to pasture; probably grazing in the back 40 enjoying her freedom; and Dorrie has been on vacation; in Florida visiting her son ; while I've been here doing all the work.
We have been receiving fabric, patterns, boooks, etc from our market orders.  It's beginning to look like Santa's workshop around here,  with everyone working on new projectsputting out the new fabrics and hanging the patterns.

I've been busy moving new fabric in the bargain barn, making room for all the new coming in. We have some very cute Halloween wall hangings that the girls are working on getting new samples made for display.   We also are making kits for them,  so everyone doesn't spend time choosing fabrics.  There are also some new Lil' Twister classes upcoming;  Twisted Garden and Twisted Jack;  just got the Twisted Tree for Christmas.

If you are looking for blenders, we have Kona Cottons and Fusions;  Blank Splash and Rock Candy, plus 1895's from Hoffman.  Check out our Sullivan Floss and their specality floss along with our Jack Dempsey kits and our transfers from Colonial.

We will be closed the 4th of July,  and then we start a new beginning sewing class for clothing construction.  It will probably be every other week for the summer.  Join Dorrie and learn about making clothes for yourself, your daughter and granddaughters
.  We sell Kwik Sew patterns, among others, and they are easy to read and understand.  Dorrie will also be teaching this during her class.

Cindy began her 3 session piecing class June 30th,  the 2nd and 3rd sessions are July 14th and 28th.  A new class by Bev  "Panels and Borders", teaches different ways to finish a panel with different borders.  It will be July 17th  at 11 AM.  The "Bag of the Month" is the "Cancun Clutch", a medium size, that you will want to make one for each of your outdits.  Be the envy of the neighborhood!
Class is July 19th at 11 AM.  On July 25th Bev will start teaching "Star of Bethlehem"  ar 10 AM.

Last but not least, we a starting a new club: The Holstein Club.  All the projects will be Black and White, with a little bit of red or yellow thrown in once in a while.  Club sign up begins now, but won't start until August.  We also have a new BOM: Jamestown Meets Stonehenge, in the bright colorway.  Come in and sign up for this beautiful quilt.
