Good Mooorning Quilters!

I'm loving this cooler weather.  We can romp around in the pasture and not get overheated.  We attended the Spring Market in Kansas City from the 16th -20th of May.  We saw lots of beautiful fabric, new patterns, new products and of course we bought quite a bit of these.  We will be previewing some of these as they arrive.
We also have several classes starting this month.  The first one is a free class "Try it you might like it" for anyone who has wanted to try quilting, but didn't want to purchase anything before they tried.  This way there is no investment, because we furnish every thing needed to learn. This class is June 2nd at 11:00 am..  This class will be offered again this summer.

If you've wanted to make a T-shirt quilt but didn't know where to begin, join me on June 5th at 11:00 am and we will start one together in our "Starting a T-shirt Quilt" class.  Book is required.  We will finish the quilt on June 26th at 11:00 am.

We have several inquiries about learning to make clothing.  We have a new series of classes starting with "Beginning Sewing", Learning the tools and how to read a pattern.  June 13th class is Starting Your First Project, with more classes next month.

Do you have some jelly rolls you would like to use but don't know what to do?  Join us on June 9th in our class "How Far Does Your Jellyroll Roll?" and find a different and fun way to use them.

On Flag Day we are starting a new way to sew a block together using only 3 seams. This makes a pretty wall hanging or quilt and it looks like you have really worked a long time on it. See you at 1:00 pm on the 14th.

Cindy is starting a "Beginning Quilting"'  class learning to use the tools and coordinating colors. On the 30th she will start a 3 session series on Basic Machine Piecing.  The price for the 3 sessions is $60.00. Stay tuned for more classes for beginning quilters.

Have you wanted to make an improv quilt?  Maybe you don't know what this is (I didn't). Come in June 19th at 5:oo pm and let Bev show you how it is done. Should be lots of fun!

Hand Applique is a favorite of many, but not everyone knows how to to it.  Judy is going to teach beginning applique, which she is very talented in and  has her own way of doing.  Hours  of class are 1-4 pm June 20th.

We are resuming our "Bag of the Month Club" June 21st at 6pm.  The "Hampton Bag" is this months choice.  It is very striking made up in the bright batiks.  Come by and see the sample.  Kits will be available.

Another of our twisted series is the "Twisted Garden".  Uses the Lil Twister.  Kits will be available.  More twister classes coming in the near future.

Round Folded Centerpiece  is one of our new patterns that looks hard to make, but once you get started it goes faster. Mary has this made and is on display at the shop.  We will have more of these folded patterns, the longer tablerunner, coasters, christmas star, snow flakes and a folded kaleidosquare.

Come join our class "Travel Scarf with Pockets"  and have a pocket for your phone and keys without  carrying a heavy tote. This is just a fun project to try.

Just a little update on classes - There is a $15 sign up fee for all classes.  Must cancel by calling 24 hours before class begins to get a refund.  No cell phones in class room. Supply sheets are available for all classes at the shop.

Our new Sullivan's Embroidery Floss has arrived , but the cabinets haven't got here yet, so it is still in the cartons.
Patterns, books, batting, rulers, etc arriving daily.

Playtime is over and it;s close to feeding time, so I better get back to the barn.  I don' want to miss a meal and lose weight.  Us cows have to keep our shape well rounded.

SOOO Long from the barn!
