Moosletter - June 2012

Good Mooorning Everyone!!

Perky Patty has been under the weather lately, so we have put her out to pasture for a while.  I and the rest of the herd are going to carry on and bring you up to date on what is happening.  We have just returned from market in Kansas City, and we brought a new cow home with us.  You'll have to stop by and see her.  We haven't named her, so we are going to have a contest and let you name her.

We have several new block of the month quilts starting now and into the year.  They are Buck-a-Block and the Birds BOM that are available now.  The Stonehenge BOM in the bright colorway begins July 1. We have more in the works for the rest of the year.

June 2nd we have a free class for anyone who wants to try quilting called "Try It You Might Like It" with Cindy. Limit of 4 so get in and sign now.  June 16th Cindy will teach "Beginning Quilting" - learning what tools are needed and how to use them. Also Learning how to coordinate colors.  June 30th she will start "Beginning Piecing" which will be 3 sessions.  Cost is $60 payable when you sign up for the class. July 14th and 28th are the  next 2 classes.

Some of the other projects we have scheduled are "Starting a T-Shirt Quilt" with Gertie, "Beginning Sewing" - Learning the tools and how to read patterns with Dorrie, "Beginning Hand Applique" with Judy, "Bag of the month" starting with the Hampton Bag, "Twisted Garden" using the 5" Lil Twister with Milly, "Improv Quilt" with Bev and she is also teaching "Patriotic Twist" to celebrate our independence.

We ordered new Darlene Zimmerman fabric in 2 colorways with 1 of them redwork.  She isn't doing a Clothesline Club this year and instead is doing "Mother's Melodies".  We have new fabric coming in monthly throughout the year.
Also we have expanded  our Sullivan's Embroidery Floss selection; a new display will be delivered soon with all types of their floss. We are also getting more Guterman thread, but it is polyester thread.  We need it for our baby diaper covers and other projects.  We also have several Halloween projects planned for August.

I'll post the class schedule the first of next week.  I,ve rambled on long enough and it's almost milking time so I better say soo loong for now.

Happy Tails To You From
