Happy spring! This first weekend of April, April 1 & 2 brings us many spring quilt shows . . . Decatur, Bloomington, and Hannibal. Decatur will be at the same location, while Bloomington moved to the Parke Regency Conference Center, 1413 Leslie Drive. The Hannibal quilt show is at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, 301 Warren Barrett Drive. These are always good shows and very different from each other. I will have a booth at the Hannibal show. I hope you can take some time out of your weekend to attend, and stop by and say hello!
The Forgotten Shop Hop is April 11th through April 16th. Hours are: 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday, 9am - 7pm Friday, and 9am - 4pm Saturday. The hop features 8 quilt stores in central Illinois. The quilt theme for this year is All Around the House. You can purchase passports for the hop from any of the participating shops. Each shop has chosen a room to feature and have designed at least one item for that room. The written pattern is available at no charge. There will be a scavenger hunt, drawings and prizes for passport holders.
On April 16th I will be in Springfield vending for LLQA . . . this is a wonderful State Guild that meets every other month.
