TODAY IS THE UGLY FABRIC CHALLENGE JUDGING--- ON THE 5th Saturday in August 30, Judging at 11 a.m. -- wall hangings must be in the store by 10:30 a.m. to be on the 30th judging. You can bring your wall hanging in earlier in the week if you desire. The next Ugly Challenge will be available on the 30th.
We will be having a Grand Opening on September 5th and 6th. We will have some drawings - cake -- and the Christmas fabric will be out.

Bev will be having a 101 Quilt Series Starting in September --- We will be making a Disappearing Nine Patch Window Pane Quilt. Will be setting Dates -- will have an evening class on a Tuesday or Wednesday nights besides a day class --- We have 3 people signed up. -- will be six weeks. Class fee is $10 per class plus fabric - book and if you need quilting supplies. Please call the shop so we will have enough books.
SCRAPPY SERIES -- WILL MEET --10 A.M September 2. Scrappy will also meet on September 8 - 16 -30. We are using up our scraps and stray fabrics and making useful quilts with them. I have added more tables for the new people. Come and sew -- then we figure out how much fabric you have reclaimed. We have room for a few more people to come and join in the fun
We started the new Second Saturday BOM in August --- We will be having Eleanor Burns - Barns and Victory Quilts. Please let us know if you are interested so we will have books in stock. A reminder how this works is -- the first month you purchase the book and pay $5.00. for fabric for first block. Next month you bring in your completed block and you get the fabric for the next month free. You will have to purchase your sashing and borders fabric down the road. You may stay and sew on your new block when you come in on that Saturday.
The Jersey Gals Quilt Guild's next meeting is September17. This month Mary Meyers will have a demo on how to make a folded project. We will have a kit available to make a coaster so you can use the technique. Bring in your sewing machines. We are all pitching in for pizza for lunch.
Many - Many - people talk about all the unfinished projects they have --- so we want to encourage everyone to get them completed by have you bring in a list of all your unfinished projects. Bring in you machine and supplies to work on a project - We will meet once a month -- the next month you complete a project we will mark it off your list and add your name in a drawing for a prize at the end of the year. If you haven't completed a project you pay a $1 to the kitty. Finish or Scrap it. We meet once a month the 3rd Tuesday --September 16 at 10 a.m.
The Fifth month will be Sept. 16 for The Farmers Wife BOM -- This quilt will have 112 - 6" square blocks. We would like to have people interested in working on this BOM to call so we can have books, and templates necessary. This will require completing 9 blocks per month to complete in 13 months. Please let us know if you are interested so we will have books and kits. Cost will be to purchase the book and any templates you wish -- then the kit will be $29.95 per month for 13 months. You may sew here at the shop on the third Tuesday or pick up your block and sew at home.
