Nice to have warmer weather -- but winter isn't over yet. When the weather settles I will be scheduling more classes. 

You will be missing a great time if you don't come to the retreat. -- I don't know how many people tell me they have a bunch of unfinished projects --- this is the time to get them done.  Got the menu set today and I don't think we will go hungry.

Don't forget the Retreat   -- have a few openings left.--  You should be able to get a lot of sewing done.-The Retreat is  scheduled for February 24 thru March 1. Monday thru Saturday.  Arrival time is 10 a.m. and on March 1 leave at 2 p.m.   If you are not staying for all the days, departure time will be by 10 a.m. the day you are leaving.  We will be having this at a Koinonia Retreat Center-1823 Andras Road, Murrayville, IL 62668.    There will be demos and you will be able to make these projects.  You will need to bring your sheets, pillows and blankets for twin bed.  Also will need to bring your towels and washcloths

There will be a lady doing the cooking on site for our meals.
We have a limit of 24  ----  There will be 4 people to a room - each with a bottom bunk bed.  Cost will be $55 per night.  For all 5 nights cost is $275.

I have had people ask for a COMMUTORS RATE for the retreat.  This means that you come in the morning and leave in the evening.  All your meals are included -- The fee for this is $40. per day. 


The Jersey Gals Quilt Guild quarters next meeting is March 19th. This day we will be having a demo on using two different fabrics for binding -- one fabric on the top and different fabric on the back. Also, will have demo on machine sewing the binding down on the top side.

It was decided to have a potluck -- so bring food to share.

We have a new Block of the week--- This is a  Merry Xmas Y'all Wall Hanging.  This is a weekly Block --- costing $14.95 for 6 weeks.  Come in and get started on this cute wall hanging.  The sample is at the shop.

Mark your calendars for the Paducah Quilt Show in April!!  We will be taking a bus down on April 25 (Friday) to see the show.  We will have a overnight stay and on Saturday will go to Hancocks Fabric and other places.  - Only have rooms for 50.  The Cost for the hotel and bus is $125.00.  To hold your seat please send $50. made out to the Quilted Cow Activities. 

Revised info on Paducah trip - we have a stand by list started.

March 12-- Having a class on the Disappearing Nine - Window Pane Quilt.  Cost of the class is
$15.00 and materials needed are 5" squares and black fabric.  We will have kits available.

March 11 -- Binding Class with hands on practice. -- We will demo all aspects of the binding from
figuring how much is needed  - mitered corners - and attaching the binding together.  Class is free - call to save you a spot -- Afternoon class -- 2 p.m. and evening class  5:15 p.m.

Starting April  15,  starting the sampler quilt called, The Farmers Wife -- This quilt will have 112 - 6" square blocks.   We would like to have people interested in working on this BOM  to call so we can have books, and templates necessary.  We are thinking that it will require completing 9 blocks per month to complete in 13 months.  Please let us know if you are interested so we will have books and kits. 

Bear Paw class will be on March 5 at 2 p.m to 5 p.m.

We have a couple of ideas from customers that we are working on getting set up for a club or class.  If you have any suggestions for classes please let us know.

NOTE --When purchasing fabric which is cut from a bolt -- this fabric cannot be returned.

March 25 - Holstein Night Club - 4:30 to 7 p.m.
