Please consider this trip.  We know you will enjoy it, however, the shop would love to have 10 buses in to shop.
We need your help.  We do have a number of people signed up but we still need at least 20 more people.

MYSTERY BUS SHOP HOP

OCTOBER 4 – 5 & 6

TRAVELING TO 3 STATES WILL BE VISITING 10 TO 12 SHOPS.

Cost  will be $239, however, if you are a GUILD MEMBER YOU WILL GET A DISCOUNT WHICH MAKES THE TRIP $210.

                      This cost includes bus, hotel (double occupancy) and food.

TIME TO SIGN UP IS BY THE AUGUST 23, 2013  We got caught on the last trip and had to

pay the bus company a chunk of money.  Please let us know if you are going ASAP. Please give us a $50 to hold your seat, balance due SEPTEMBER 15. IF PAYING WITH A CHECK PLEASE MAKE IT OUT TO THE QUILTED COW  ACTIVITIES.

I think this trip is going to be a nice surprise.

THe New project for the Holstein Club started in June   We still have room for more. The new project is a quilt made with various nine patch blocks.  Stop by the shop and look at the pattern. Day Holstein meets the 4th Monday at 11 a.m. to 3;30 p.m and Night Holstein Meets the 4th Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We have a number of new people starting to sew with us.  Days is AUGUST 26  and Night AUGUST 27.

SEPTEMBER 7TH.--    It's the Cow Girls Roundup.  All are welcome.  Meeting day will be the 1st Saturday of each month from 11 a.m to 3 p.m.  We will meet  in the sewing room at the Quilted Cow.  Bring your "COW'S" (COMPLETING ONGOING WORKS).  TOGETHER WE WILL PLAN FOR THE NEXT MONTH'S PROJECT (S).  BRING YOU LUNCH, A DRINK AND SOMETHING TO SNACK ON (OPTIONAL).

Commuter Retreat --- September 9 thru 12 --- 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Cost is $27.50.
Sign up now --- seating for 12 people.  We had a great time when we had this activity --- Don't be left out this time. 

September 17 -- Twisted Class -- Can be the twisted leaf or twisted spider or your choice of the new patterns.  Class fee $15.  We do have some kits available. 

RETREAT -- Pencil in your schedule for a 5 night Retreat in February.  I haven't got all the details yet.  We did have a great time last year.


Wednesday August 21, 2013 starting at 10:00 AM Farmland Quilting is presenting a demonstration and workshop during the Jersey Gals Quilt Guild on their stable piecing method. The DEMO and trunk show will be the first hour or so with the workshop starting at 1PM until 4PM.  Anyone that wants to check out the stable piecing or our Day Guild is welcomed to join us for the DEMO/Trunk show. The workshop project will be piecing Storm at Sea.  The pattern and stable foundations are available for purchase from Farmland Quilting the day of the workshop. Fabric may be selected and cut in the hour to hour and a half between the demo and workshop starting at 1 PM or the class supply list will be available prior to the 21st for pick-up.

Thursday, August 22, 2013 Quilted Cow will have a workshop using their Snail’s Trails pattern and stable foundation.  If you attend the Jersey Gals Demo and Trunk Show, the class fee will be waived for Snail’s Trails. Workshop space is limited to 12; please sign-up so we are sure you have a place to sew.

Six weeks of classes: class fee $60.00; purchase Quilting the basics and beyond by Jeri Simon. Prefer fabric and tools purchased from us, but not required.  Please sign up early as we will pre-order the books the 3rd week in July.
