Jersey Gals Quilt Guild will meet on June 19 at 10 a.m.   The group has decided to have a sewing day  to work on the Homeless quilts. Please bring your machine and a dish to share for lunch.  Come and join us.


Block of the Month   ---
  Toes in the Sand - will be starting in the fall.

THe New project for the Holstein Club starts in JUNE!!  We have a few new people joining our sewing group.
See you there.  We still have room for more.
The new project is a quilt made with various nine patch blocks.  Stop by the shop and look at the pattern. Day Holstein meets the 4th Monday at 11 a.m. to 3;30 p.m and Night Holstein Meets the 4th Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.


Moooo, Hooooo! A new Club!!  JULY 6th--    It's the Cow Girls Roundup.  All are welcome.  Meeting day will be the 1st Saturday of each month from 11 a.m to 3 p.m.  We will meet  in the sewing room at the Quilted Cow.  Bring your "COW'S" (COMPLETING ONGOING WORKS).  TOGETHER WE WILL PLAN FOR THE NEXT MONTH'S PROJECT (S).  BRING YOU LUNCH, A DRINK AND SOMETHING TO SNACK ON (OPTIONAL).

COME CHEW YOUR "CUD"WITH US AT THE FIRST OFFICIAL -- JULY 6TH AT 11 A.M  WE'LL LEAVE THE BARN DOOR OPEN FOR 'YA.

This is how it will work -- first week come in get your list for fabric and purchase- will get clue 1. You will get a new clue each week until it is completed.  The cost would be the cost of the fabric.  What do you think?

A Crochet Class for those people who what to refresh their skills of crocheting or those who would like to learn to crochet.  Class fee $15. Please bring your crochet hooks, a pattern and yarn.  If you don't have these -- we will have some some hook and patterns available.


Jan Kidd will be teaching a class on Wrap It To Go -- June 26 -- Class fee $25 plus kit.  If you are interested and would like to come in and choose your fabric that would be great -- We will then cut the material to size and eliminate that step for the class.  Kit will be available  -- For you that chooses your fabric  --
the cost will depend on the fabric choosen.
Sample at the Shop.  This is not your grade school book  cover!! This is a very nice quilted cover for your dayplanner, your journal, your sketchbook or even your bible.  The class will be making a 6 x 9 Mead spiral notebook size.   We still a few more people for the class.  We need to have five people to have this class.


RETREAT -- Pencil in your schedule for a 5 night Retreat in February.  I haven't got all the details yet.  We did have a great time last year.

July 18 - Thursday -- Caddy Pad -- Iron tote and pressing station - 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Class Fee $10.00 - Caddy Pad pattern includes directions and heat resistant fabric $17.00; fabric, buttons, lastic and bating are extra.  Familiarizes sewer with: straight line quilting; making and applying binding.

July 23 -- We will have a Counted Cross Stitch  Class -- from 1 to 3 p.m. We will have some patterns and we have a very large selection of floss.  We have ada cloth in 18 and 28 count. We do have embroidery hoops and needles.  Class will be $15.    I have some Stony Creek patterns coming for the class.  I think these are one of the best patterns. 

August 1, 8, 15, 22,29 and September 5 ; Day session 11AM to 3PM: “Quilted Cow University 101” will educate the beginning quilter on how to select fabric, use rotary cutter + mat + ruler; piece easy to more complicated blocks; put blocks into rows using sashing and posts; applying borders; pin basting the layers together; machine free-motion quilting; label and binding. Six weeks of classes: class fee $60.00; purchase Quilting the basics and beyond by Jeri Simon. Prefer fabric and tools purchased from us, but not required.
